Located within a canyon beneath Udobong Peak on the eastern side of Jeju Island, Geommeolle Beach is a stunning stretch of black sand spanning about 100 meters in width. Accessible via a set of stairs, this unique beach offers the perfect setting to enjoy swimming combined with a relaxing sand bath. At the edge of the shore, you will also find a mysterious cave, which according to local legend, resembles the nostril of an ox.

Located near Seongsan Ilchulbong and Gwangchigi Beach, the Seongsan Canola Flower Cultivation Area is a stunning destination set upon a narrow, elongated strip of land formed by accumulated sand and soil where the sea stretches out on both sides. From December to February, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Seongsan Ilchulbong and the ocean framed by a vibrant backdrop of blooming canola flowers. Seongsan Elementary School, Seocheong Special Forces Base is a historical site that holds the painful memories of the residents of Seongsan-myeon. In the winter of 1948, the special forces unit known as Seocheong was stationed at Seongsan-po-seo-gyo (the current Seongsan Elementary School), under the command of Captain Choi So-wi.
