Sinchon 4·3 Fortress Site

The Sinchon 4·3 Fortress Site is a historical structure built by hand-stacking stones, originally used to monitor residents during the Jeju 4·3 Incident. Sinchon-ri is a significant historical site, known as the birthplace of local anti-Japanese movements and the Chojon Independence Movement, as well as the location where the Jeju 4·3 uprising was resolved through the Sinchon Conference.
