Beopwhasa Temple
Along with Sujeongsa, Beopwhasa Temple served as a significant "bibo" temple—a spiritual site established to balance the geomantic energy of Jeju. During the late Goryeo Dynasty under Mongol rule, it held great importance and was a massive complex with an estimated 280 laborers. The Beopwhasa Temple site, designated as Jeju-do Monument No. 13 in 1971, holds immense historical value; excavations at the site have unearthed precious artifacts, including dragon-patterned roof tiles similar to those found in Yuan Dynasty palaces and exquisite Goryeo celadon.
