Songnyeongi Valley

Songnyeongi Valley is a significant site of the Jeju April 3 Incident, marking the location where the bodies of armed fighters who perished during the battle at Uigwi National School on January 12, 1949, were collectively interred. The site features memorial signs and a Bangsatap (pagoda) dedicated to honoring the victims. Every year on August 15, various organizations gather here to perform weeding rituals and hold Cheondojae (ancestral memorial services) to remember the fallen.
