Wondong

Located about eight *cham* (approximately 16km) from Jeju-mok, Wondong was once a resting place where travelers moving between Jeju and Daejeong would stop to enjoy a meal and a drink. However, it also stands as a site of profound historical tragedy, marking the place where approximately 30 villagers were victims of a mass massacre by soldiers in 1948.
