Goldfish
Believed to be built upon the site of a Goryeo Dynasty temple, Goldfish is a temple of the Taego Order of Korean Buddhism, founded in 1926 by the monk Kim Dae-seung, who enshrined a Buddha statue within a thatched cottage. The temple grounds house the Obaek Nahando (Five Hundred Arhats painting), a designated Cultural Heritage of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. Historically, Goldfish has served as a vibrant center for Buddhist activity, once hosting intensive monastic education and significant religious ceremonies.
