Originating from the distribution of supplies during the Korean War due to the presence of the Daejeong-eup airfield and army training center, Daejeong 5-Day Market has naturally evolved into the largest market in western Jeju. After several relocations over the years, it is now located in Hamo-ri, Daejeong-eup, and is also affectionately known as the Moseulpo Five-Day Market.
