27th Seogwipo International Winter Sea Penguin Swimming Festival

A signature winter tourism event in Seogwipo since 2000, this festival sees locals and tourists alike diving into the winter waves at Jungmun Saekdal Beach wearing penguin costumes to wish for health and prosperity in the New Year. With a large number of domestic and international participants, the event has grown into a large-scale international swimming festival.
