Close Your Eyes and Open Your Ears to Jeju with Sound Bunker
If you ask those who have visited Jeju what remains most memorable, most recall the scenery. However, surprisingly, it is often the 'sound' that lingers in the senses for a long time. As a field recorder who has documented the diverse sounds of Jeju, if you quietly listen to a specific spot, you realize that even places that appeared merely 'quiet' to the eye harbor their own distinct sounds. Among the locations where I personally set up my recorder, I have selected four places where you can experience the distinct sounds of Jeju simply by listening, without the need for any special equipment. Let's put down our cameras for a moment and close our eyes for just three minutes. Jeju is an island to be seen with the eyes, but it is also an island to be heard with the ears.
