Gase Oreum Volcanic Cone

Located in Pyoseon-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Gase Oreum Volcanic Cone is a horseshoe-shaped oreum featuring a split summit. Its name is derived from the Jeju dialect word "gase," meaning scissors, due to its distinctive shape. The cone consists of five volcanic debris peaks: Yeomtong Oreum, Jogeun Yeomtong, Dal Moru, Jindongsan, and Sumgolwat. As the terrain is often obscured by dense shrubbery, there are no formal hiking trails. However, its easy accessibility makes Gase Oreum Volcanic Cone an ideal destination for those looking to enjoy a meditative hike or a stroll with their dogs.
