Gotjawal
Gotjawal is a primordial forest zone in Jeju, formed where lush vegetation flourishes amidst the basalt rocks created by ancient volcanic eruptions. Within Gotjawal Provincial Park, visitors can explore a variety of trails, including the Teuri Trail for healing and meditation, the Gasinang Trail which showcases the forest's original pristine state, and the Hansugi Trail for geological learning. Furthermore, Gotjawal serves as a treasure trove of biodiversity, offering a rare opportunity to observe endangered wildlife such as the Jeju evergreen oak, various rare insects, and the colorful Fairy Pitta.
