Site of Song Gye-sun’s House,

Just past the Songjuksa Site lies a spacious clearing, which marks the Site of Song Gye-sun’s House. This is the original residence where the exiled scholar Chusa first stayed upon arriving in Daejeong. Song Gye-sun was the first local official to oversee Chusa, and it was here that Chusa, serving his sentence under house arrest (wirianchi), began his life in a traditional thatched house enclosed by a protective thorn fence.
