Albam (Albamaegi, Albam Oreum Volcanic Cone)

Located in Seonheul-ri, Jocheon-eup, Jeju, Albam (Albamaegi, Albam Oreum Volcanic Cone) is a horseshoe-shaped volcanic cone standing at an altitude of 394m with a height of 154m. Its unique shape strikingly resembles a chestnut, which is where its name originates. Because it is situated lower than the neighboring Utbam Oreum, it is affectionately known as 'Albam' or 'Albamaegi' (meaning 'little chestnut' or 'lower chestnut'). A scenic 60-minute trek along the trail offers visitors breathtaking views of the beautiful Jeju landscape.
