Utse Oreum Volcanic Cone [Nuun Oreum Volcanic Cone]
Located at an altitude of approximately 1,600 to 1,700 meters along the Yeongsil climbing trail of Hallasan, Utse Oreum Volcanic Cone [Nuun Oreum Volcanic Cone] is a monogenetic volcanic cone composed of three distinct peaks: Bulgeun-oreum, Nuun-oreum, and Jogeun-oreum. It is characterized by its unique shape, appearing as if it is lying long and flat. In the past, it was also known as 'Mang-oreum' (Watchtower Oreum), as its elevated position provided an ideal vantage point for monitoring the movement of livestock in the grazing lands.
