Donggwang-ri Rural Experience Village

Located in the mid-altitude inland mountainous area of Jeju, Donggwang-ri Rural Experience Village is a green rural retreat operated by Donggwang-ri in Amdeok-myeon. Nestled on the gentle lava plateau of Hallasan’s southwestern slopes at an elevation of 200 to 400 meters, the village is surrounded by lush forests and numerous oreum (parasitic volcanoes). Visitors can explore significant historical sites related to the Jeju April 3 Incident, including the "Lost Village" monument stone, as well as natural landmarks such as Keun-neolpwoe, Hanmyo, and Dol-dari, which served as refuge points for local residents during the conflict.
