Jeju International Airport (Jeongtteureu Airport)
Jeju International Airport (Jeongtteureu Airport) is situated on the site of the former 'Jeongtteureu Airfield,' which was originally established in the early 1940s for military purposes during the Pacific War. It began as a small military airfield near Dodubong during the Japanese colonial period; following Korea's liberation, the site was taken over by the U.S. military, eventually leading to the commencement of civilian flight operations in 1946.
