Gat Exhibition Hall

The Gat Exhibition Hall serves as a dedicated space for preserving the original forms of Gat-il (the traditional craft of making Korean traditional hats), designated as Important Intangible Cultural Property No. 4, and passing these exquisite techniques down to future generations. In the exhibition hall, visitors can gain a comprehensive overview of the history, types, materials, and intricate production processes of traditional Korean hats. The audiovisual room and workshop allow guests to observe the delicate craftsmanship through video presentations and live demonstrations. Additionally, the hands-on workshop provides a unique opportunity for students and visitors to experience the art of making a Gat firsthand, making it an ideal place for both cultural learning and immersive hands-on experiences.
