Jonjaam Hermitage Site

Located at San 1-1, Hawon-dong, Seogwipo-si, Jeju, the Jonjaam Hermitage Site is the ancient site of a Buddhist temple dating back to the late Goryeo and early Joseon dynasties. Perched at an altitude of 1,200 meters northwest of Yeongsil on Hallasan, this historic site holds profound spiritual significance. During excavations in 1993, the Sejonsari Pagoda was recovered and returned to its original location. This precious relic is officially designated as a Tangible Cultural Heritage of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.
