Pyeongdaeri Bulteok
Located just below Dokke Dongsan near Pyeongdae Beach, Pyeongdaeri Bulteok is a spacious area enclosed by low stone walls. In the Jeju dialect, the name refers to a "low stone threshold where a fire is lit." Historically, Pyeongdaeri Bulteok served as a traditional resting place where haenyeo (female divers) would gather to warm themselves by a crackling fire after finishing their diving sessions during the cold winter months.

It earned its name, which translates to "laughing chestnut oreum," because it sits slightly higher than its counterpart, Albam Oreum.
