Catholic Road Jeong Nan-ju Road (Road of Pain)

Known as the "Road of Pain" among the pilgrimage routes of the Catholic Diocese of Jeju, Catholic Road Jeong Nan-ju Road (Road of Pain) is a 13.8km walking course that stretches from Daejeong Seongji (the tomb of Maria Jeong Nan-ju) to Moseulpo Catholic Church. This path is steeped in profound history, tracing the legacies of the Daejeonghyeon Fortress walls, the exile site of Chusa Kim Jeong-hui, and the Seotal Oreum 4.3 Memorial Site, as well as the sacred burial grounds of Maria Jeong Nan-ju—the wife of martyr Hwang Sa-yeong and niece of the scholar Dasan Jeong Yak-yong.
