Located in Gwangpyeong-ri, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo, Gobegi Dongsan is a forest created to express gratitude to nature for providing a place to live when the village of Gwangpyeong-ri—which had vanished during the Jeju April 3 Incident—was rebuilt in 1955. Historically, it was known as "Gobegi Dongsan" because it is said that a person named 'Gobek' once lived there. The forest is equipped with benches and hammock nets, offering perfect spots for relaxation.
